Amiya Health
a16z HackathonAmiya Health is an AI-powered virtual checkup platform built to make telehealth more accessible for seniors. It was my first hackathon project, created with a team at an a16z hackathon, and it pushed me to think about product design for people who are often left out of digital healthcare tools.
Instead of assuming everyone is comfortable with apps and interfaces, we focused on a simpler checkup experience: guided questions, clearer language, and a flow that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. The goal was to help older adults get useful health insight without needing to navigate a complicated telehealth system.
What we built
We designed Amiya Health as a virtual checkup platform that uses AI to guide users through health questions and surface useful next steps. The product focus was accessibility: fewer confusing screens, clearer prompts, and an experience that seniors could actually use.
Working under hackathon constraints meant moving fast, making tradeoffs, and shipping something real. I learned how to turn a healthcare problem into a product concept, then into a working demo that could communicate the idea clearly.
