Blueprint
USC ACAD 406Blueprint was an AI-powered college admissions platform built to give students personalized, data-backed guidance on strengthening their applications, built through USC's ACAD 406 purpose-driven incubator class. Our team was sectioned off to build a startup from scratch over the semester, ending with a final presentation to industry professionals and investors.
What we built
I led product development for Blueprint, from defining the core problem to shaping the MVP direction. That meant figuring out what the platform should actually do, who it was for, and how the AI experience would come together for students and counselors, then translating that into wireframes, user flows, and product requirements the team could build against.
A big part of my role was keeping the team on track. I set and tracked our deliverables, managed sprint planning, and made sure everyone stayed aligned on deadlines and responsibilities. The class itself was mostly student-led, our professor checked in on deliverables rather than handing us assignments, so a lot of the structure and accountability came from us. I ended up being the one making sure it actually held together.
By the end of the semester, we presented Blueprint to industry professionals and investors, and the core idea (using real admitted-student data instead of generic advice) later evolved into a second product, Admit+.
